I’ve gone from feeling empowered last week when I quit my job and dumped the guy I was casually seeing to feeling dangerously low. I touched briefly upon how I felt like I was going a bit crazy from taking the pill in my previous blog post. My conclusion (now I’m on my break and my thought pattern is more clear) is that for me the pill is intensifying the normal feelings of my natural cycle. So in my experience instead of feeling a bit more hungry than usual it’s like ‘oh my f**king god give me 5 packets of … Continue reading TIME OUT PLZ
This week I quit my job and finished things with the guy I was causally dating. Come to think of it a few things have changed in my life since my last blog post. Let’s start with my job… I suppose I got to the point where I’d had enough and wanted more. The actual job, and by that I mean my daily tasks, was really enjoyable and I will miss that. However, the circumstances surrounding the job were souring and had been for a while. They were trying to make me do too much expecting the customer facing demands … Continue reading Life is too short to continue with things that make you miserable
So I’m currently temping at a well known car brand aftersales centre. I’ve been working there for a couple of weeks now and it is fine because the staff are lovely and the days go quickly…despite the large number of rude and precious customers. However, there is one member of staff who I initially thought was a bit overly friendly yet harmless, who’s behaviour is quickly sliding into the disturbing and uncomfortable region. I’m going to list the events so they’re easy to see and they’re not in a particular order: He commented on my outfit saying that my trousers … Continue reading Inappropriate sexual comments in the workplace… something I didn’t think I would ever experience
As part of a classic grad life crisis I keep having so many conflicting points of thoughts in my head: I hate doing my standard, repetitive temp job, but it’s very easy money for the time being. I would really … Continue reading Sunday Reflection
I keep stating that I don’t want this blog to turn into a whiney, pity party. However, when things go wrong it is hard to not use this as a way to ventilate. I would much rather ventilate on paper … Continue reading Stop underestimating yourself. NOW.
To get whoever is reading this up to speed when I say the ‘C’ card I mean cancer, and by ‘D’ card I mean depression. My background info is that my mother was diagnosed with cancer when I was 10 … Continue reading Is it ever acceptable to use the ‘C’ or ‘D’ card?
Since people have already got their results and know what university’s they’re going to/taking a gap year I’ve decided to write a little, albeit brief guide containing what I wish I knew before I started uni. I did a lot … Continue reading A Lazy Person’s Guide To First Year
So I’ve just come home from an awesome long weekend in one of my favourite places -IBIZA. I’m lucky enough to have been to this beautiful place for my third time, and I wanted to write a piece with some … Continue reading A beautiful island called Ibiza
I ripped my diary out of my friends hand. Embarrassed at the words she was reading out loud in the most mocking voice ever. I won’t forget that feeling that encroached upon my soul as it winced in shock that … Continue reading I don’t like to hear my feelings.
So I finished uni and went back to Manchester where I did a lot of partying and thoroughly enjoyed killing a few (closer to half) of my brain and body cells. I’ve (re)realised that I’m very inconsistent with this whole … Continue reading M.I.A 2.0
All capitals title to emphasis this isn’t a joke. The context is: I had to write a 12,000 word dissertation and I submitted 7,500 words. Aka I failed, and I fucked up so badly and it is definitely my fault. … Continue reading MY DISSERTATION DISASTER.
Full credit is now given to people who manage to continue blogging alongside uni/school/real jobs, it’s hard to dedicate time to writing and upkeeping a blog when other things get in the way. For me, things have been ok. Final … Continue reading I Went M.I.A For A Bit
